Zee Entertainment to invest Rs.116-Cr in VFX studio Phantom Digital Effects

Zee Entertainment Enterprises will invest INR 116 crore in Phantom Digital Effects Ltd. The company will acquire compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs) in Phantom through a preferential allotment.Phantom Digital Effects is a visual effects and animation studio with a presence in the US and UK. The investment is aimed at enhancing Zee’s content creation capabilities across platforms and genres, leveraging PhantomFX’s global expertise, proprietary workflows, and AI-integrated production capabilities.PhantomFX will continue to operate independently and service its global clients, including studios, broadcasters, and streaming platforms.
For FY25, Phantom FX had reported about INR 99 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 20 Cr in PAT.
