‘Orchids’ brand schools owner K12 Techno attracts $40-M from Kenro Capital
Bengaluru-headquartered K12 Techno Services , a school education and technology services provider, has attracted USD 40 million from Kenro Capital, a growth-stage venture capital firm founded by Piyush Gupta, the former managing director at Peak XV Partners. Kenro Capital, in its debut investment, has acquired a minority stake in K12 Techno Services through a mix of primary and secondary funding.K12 Techno Services operates in the K-12 education segment through its own brand, ‘Orchids The International School’, and its curriculum and technology platform. Offering a range of services including content, marketing, software, curriculum, and security - the edtech startup claims to provide its solutions to over 900 institutions across India, catering to the needs of more than 350,000 students.The firm is backed by Peak XV Partners, Kedaara Capital, Sofina Ventures, Venturi Partners, and Navneet Learning LLP, among others.
Between May 2010 and May 2024, K12 Techno Services had raised about USD 171 M from Peak XV Partners, Song Advisors, Kaizen PE, InnoVen Capital, Navneet Tech Ventures, Sofina, Kedaara Capital and Venturi Partners.
