‘Startup Singam’ show maker raises funding from Gopal Srinivasan, Girish Mathrubootham, others
Chennai-based Baanhem Ventures, the creator of the startup funding-focused reality show Startup Singham, has raised a second round of angel funding. New investors include Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman & Managing Director, TVS Capital Funds; Girish Mathrubootham, Founder & Executive Chairman, Freshworks; Mithun Sacheti, Founder, CaratLane; K Mahalingam, Partner/Director, TSM Group of Companies; Mohan Karuppiah, CEO & Co-Founder, IppoPay; Shyam Sekhar, Founder, ithought Financial Consulting LLP; Ashwini Asokan, Founder, Mad Street Den/Vue.ai; and Madhusudanan Rangarajan, Managing Director, M2P Fintech.Founded in 2023 by Hemachandran and Balachandar, Baanhem Ventures, through its platform, has helped 35 startups raise over INR 40 crore in funding commitments in the first season of the inaugural show. It had earlier raised funding from Kumar Vembu.
