1729 Capital acquires 7.14% stake In Suryoday Small Finance Bank
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted approval to 1729 Capital, a foreign portfolio investor registered with Sebi, and its associates for the acquisition of a 7.14% shareholding in Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SSFB) . This approval was provided after the acquisition had already taken place.The RBI's sanction lifts a restriction that limited the voting rights held by 1729 Capital and its associates in SSFB to less than 5%.As of September-end 2025, the promoter and promoter group collectively held a 22.44% stake in the bank.
