Allcargo Logistics completes demerger of global supply chain biz
Publicly listed Allcargo Logistics Ltd has completed the demerger of its international supply chain business and the merger of its domestic business as of November 1, after it got a nod from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). The international supply chain business has been demerged into a newly incorporated entity, Allcargo Global Ltd.Following the demerger, the domestic express distribution business (currently under Allcargo Gati and GESCPL) and the consultative logistics business (currently under ASCPL) will be merged into the resulting Allcargo Logistics Ltd.Post-restructuring, shareholders of Allcargo Logistics will hold one share each in Allcargo Logistics and the demerged Allcargo Global on a 1:1 basis. Shareholders of Allcargo Gati will receive 63 shares of Allcargo Logistics (post demerger of the international supply chain business) for every 10 shares held in Allcargo Gati.
