Brookfield India REIT raises Rs.2,600-Cr in QIP
Gurugram-based Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has raised INR 2,600 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) from International Finance Corporation (IFC), Whiteoak Capital, HDFC Life Insurance, Axis Max Life Insurance, and PPFAS Mutual Fund.Kotak Mahindra Capital, JM Financial, and Avendus Capital acted as lead managers to the issue. The issue, which commenced with a base size of INR 2,000 crore, was upsized through a 30% greenshoe option.The trust plans to use the fresh funds for acquisitions and debt repayment. It has so far raised over INR 13,000 crore through five such fundraising exercises since 2023.The REIT reported a net operating income of INR 540.4 crore for the October-December quarter, with income from operating lease rentals of INR 500.3 crore for the third quarter of 2025-26.
