Brookfield India REIT raises Rs.3,500-Cr through QIP
New Delhi-headquartered Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has raised INR 3,500 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) which saw participation from SBI Mutual Fund, PPFAS, Kotak Mutual Fund, UTI Mutual Fund, White Oak, LIC, IFC, HDFC Life, and 360 ONE, alongside other foreign funds, insurance companies, mutual funds, and family offices. With this issue, the REIT has raised INR 8,000 crore in the past 12 months.Brookfield India REIT oversees 10 grade-A assets across Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Kolkata. Its portfolio encompasses a total leasable area of 29.1 mn sq ft, with 24.6 mn sq ft operating, 0.6 mn sq ft under construction, and 3.9 mn sq ft of future development potential. A portion of the QIP proceeds will be allocated to part-finance the acquisition of Ecoworld, a significant office campus located in Bengaluru.
