Private equity firm Carlyle plans to raise $500-M through an IPO for its automotive platform, Gurugram-based Highway Roop Precision Technologies , which is expected to reach a valuation of approximately $2-B.Founded in 2025, Highway Roop Precision Technologies was formed through Carlyle's acquisition of controlling stakes in Highway Industries and Roop Automotives. The entity produces precision-machined components and systems for electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine vehicles.
In Jan 2025, Roop Automotives had attracted about $125-M from Carlyle.For FY25, Roop Automotives had reported about Rs.582-Cr in Operating Income and about Rs.51-Cr in PAT.
