Digital publishing platform Pratilipi scouts for bankers for IPO
Bengaluru-based digital publishing platform Pratilipi intends to engage with investment bankers in September, aiming to appoint a banker by October for an initial public offering.Founded in 2015 by Ranjeet Pratap Singh, Sahradayi Modi, Sankaranarayanan Devarajan, Prashant Gupta and Rahul Ranjan, Pratilipi operates as a digital storytelling and publishing platform. It has expanded into physical publishing, comics, audio, microdramas and IP licensing. The firm is leveraging AI to accelerate content production and multilingual adaptations, aiming for 3,000 to 5,000 language and format adaptations per month.Pratilipi plans to use its resources to develop an integrated IP ecosystem where content can travel across various languages, formats, and geographies. The company is targeting revenue of about INR 400 crore for FY27.
Between Feb 2016 and Mar 2025, Pratilipi had attracted about USD 102-M from Contrarian Drishti, Nexus Venture Partners, Omidyar Network, Shunwei Capital, WEH Ventures, Alteria Capital, Jungle Ventures, LogX Ventures and others.For FY25, Pratilipi had reported about INR 82-Cr in Operating Income and about INR 50-Cr in Net Loss.
