Gaja Capital to launch Rs.550-Cr IPO

Mumbai-based Gaja Alternative Asset Management plans to launch its initial public offering on August 19, 2026, with a price band set between INR 152 and INR 160 per share. The offer size totals INR 550 crore, consisting of a fresh issue of equity shares worth INR 450 crore and an offer for sale amounting to INR 100 crore. Anchor investor bidding is scheduled for August 18, 2026, and the bidding window for other investors will remain open until August 21, 2026.The equity shares are proposed to be listed on BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India. About 50% of the offer is reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 15% for non-institutional bidders, and 35% for retail individual investors. JM Financial and IIFL Capital Services are acting as the book-running lead managers to the transaction.Founded in 2004 by Gopal Jain, Ranjit Jayant Shah, Imran Jafar, Chitra Jain, and Mona Ranjit Shah, Gaja Alternative plans to use the proceeds from the fresh issue primarily to fulfill sponsor commitments in its Fund IV umbrella, specifically Gaja Capital India Fund 2020 LLP and Gaja Capital India Fund 2021, and to repay a bridge loan. Remaining funds are earmarked for sponsor commitments in a proposed Fund V and a Secondaries Fund.
