Govt divests 6% in hydropower co. NHPC through OFS; garners Rs.4,300-Cr
The offer-for-sale (OFS) retail book of state-owned Faridabad, Haryana-headquartered NHPC Ltd (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) got subscribed 1.8 times on the last day, with investors bidding for 110.4 million shares against the 60.3 million on offer. A day earlier, the non-retail segment of NHPC was also oversubscribed.Through the OFS, the government divested a 6% stake in the state-run hydropower producer, raising over INR 4,300 crore.
For FY26, NHPC had reported about INR 10,328 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 3,618 Cr in PAT.
