Grocery retail chain Ratnadeep files papers to raise Rs.400-Cr

Hyderabad-based Ratnadeep Retail has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) to raise capital through an initial public offering (IPO). The proposed transaction includes a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to INR 400 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 1,48,60,000 equity shares by its promoters, Sandeep Agarwal, Manish Bhartiya, and Mitesh Bhartiya. The firm may go for an anchor placement of INR 80 crore.Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, Axis Capital, and DAM Capital Advisors have been appointed as the book-running lead managers to the issue.The company operates as an organised food, grocery, and value-fashion retailer, managing a portfolio of over 30,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) across segments such as fresh produce, FMCG, staples, and apparel. As of March 31, 2026, the firm operated 190 stores under the Ratnadeep and National Mart formats across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. The firm plans to allocate INR 40 crore from the fresh issue proceeds toward the repayment of certain borrowings, while INR 260 crore is earmarked for expanding its retail footprint with new store openings.In the fiscal year 2026, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 2,223 crore and a profit after tax of INR 36.7 crore.

For FY25, Ratnadeep Retail had reported about INR 1,988 crore in Operating Income and about INR 17 crore in PAT.
