Italy’s Fila sells 7% stake in stationery seller Doms Industries for Rs.934-Cr
Italian multinational Fila Group has divested a 7% stake in publicly listed, Umbergaon, Gujarat-headquartered Doms Industries for INR 934 crore through open market transactions. Following this sale, the stake held by Fila Group in the company has decreased from 26.01% to 19.01%.As part of the same transactions, SBI Mutual Fund and Axis Mutual Fund increased their respective shareholdings in the firm by acquiring a combined 2.13% stake for INR 285 crore.Doms Industries sells a range of stationery and art materials, while Fila Group operates as a supplier of art materials with a portfolio of 25 brands. The stake sale was executed via the National Stock Exchange (NSE) across two tranches.Prior to these transactions, SBI Mutual Fund held a 5.88% stake in the firm, while Axis Mutual Fund held a 3.18% stake as of the March quarter. Following the divestment, the combined shareholding of promoters and promoter group entities in the company stands at 63.39%.
