Promoter sells Ajanta Pharma stake worth Rs.1,024-Cr

A promoter entity of Mumbai-based Ajanta Pharma , the Ravi Agrawal Trust, has sold 34.5 lakh shares through a block deal on the NSE. The transaction, valued at approximately INR 1,024 crore, was executed at a price of INR 2,968 per share.The shares were acquired by two domestic mutual funds, with Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund purchasing 21.02 lakh shares and Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund buying 13.48 lakh shares.Ajanta Pharma maintains a presence across branded generics, emerging markets, and selected developed markets. The company operates in various therapeutic segments, including ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, and pain management.

For FY25, Ajanta Pharma had reported about INR 4,322 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 917 Cr in PAT.
