Protein-centric agribusiness player IB Group plans initial public offering

Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh-based IB Group has initiated meetings with investment banks to discuss a proposed initial public offering. The firm has held pitch meetings with Axis Capital, JM Financial and Nuvama Investment Banking to formalise its market entry.Founded in 1985 and led by managing director Bahadur Ali, the firm operates an agribusiness that encompasses poultry feed manufacturing, broiler farming, hatcheries, and processed chicken distribution. The company also maintains a presence in the dairy, edible oils, and pet food segments under the Abis brand, which includes its pet food subsidiary, Drools.The company reported a turnover of Rs.16,000-Cr in FY26. Drools, founded by IB Group, is one of India's largest and fastest-growing premium pet food brands. IB group maintains a collaboration with the US-based genetics company Aviagen Group to source breeding stocks and operates a retail network under the Laziz brand for the distribution of processed chicken.
