RPower raises Rs.348-Cr from promoter Reliance Infra, Basera Home Finance

Mumbai-based, publicly listed power generation and distribution player Reliance Power has raised INR 348.15 crore through the issue of 10.55 crore equity shares to its promoter Reliance Infrastructure and public investor Basera Home Finance.Reliance Infrastructure, the controlling shareholder of Reliance Power, received 9.55 crore shares and Basera Home Finance was allotted 1 crore shares. The shares were allotted at INR 33 apiece, including a premium of INR 23 per share.The capital infusion stems from the conversion of a portion of the INR 1,525-crore preferential issue of 46.20 crore warrants issued in October 2024.Reliance Power , a part of the Reliance Group was incorporated in 1995 and develops, constructs, and operates coal, gas, hydro, wind and solar based energy projects across the world,
Between Sep 2022 and Oct 2024, Reliance Power had attracted about USD 767 M from Varde Partners.For FY24, Reliance Power had reported about INR 7,893 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 2,242 Cr in Net Loss.
