SBI Life acquires addl 2.1% stake in SME lender Paisalo Digital; hikes holding to 11.09%
SBI Life Insurance Co Ltd, along with SBI and SBI General Insurance Co Ltd, has acquired an additional 2.1% stake in New Delhi-based, publicly-listed Paisalo Digital Ltd via open market purchases. (Based on the existing INR 2,615 crore market capitalization of Paisalo, the 2.1% stake would have cost the acquirer about INR 55 crore). The latest stake hike takes SBI Group's total stake in Paisalo, an SME-focused NBFC, to 11.09%.
