Singapore's Singtel sells 1.2% stake in Bharti Airtel for $1.54 B

Pastel, an affiliate of Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) , has sold 1.2% stake (7,10,00,000 shares at INR 1,814 per share) in Bharti Airtel for USD 1.54 Billion (about SGD 2 Billion). Post this sale, Singtel’s holding in Bharti Airtel will fall to 28.3% from 29.5%. Its remaining stake is valued at SGD 48 Billion.This latest deal follows previous stake sales - a 3.3 % stake sold to Bharti Telecom and a 0.8 % stake to GQG Partners - in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
