Speciality chemicals co. Ami Organics’ promoters sell shares worth Rs.301-Cr

Vaghasia Chetankumar Chhaganlal and Nareshkumar Ramjibhai Patel, promoters of Surat-based, publicly listed speciality chemicals manufacturer Ami Organics , have divested a 6.59% stake in the company for INR 300.81 crore. Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund purchased the 26.97 lakh shares in two tranches, at an average price of INR 1,115 apiece on the NSE.After the stake sale, the combined holding of promoters and the promoter group in Ami Organics has declined to 29.36% from 35.96%.Founded in 2007, Ami Organics manufactures specialty chemicals, with a focus on producing pharmaceutical intermediates and serves pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, electronics and agro-chemical segments.
For FY24, Ami Organics had reported about INR 717 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 49 Cr in PAT.
