Travel-tech firm Easemytrip’s co-founder pledges shares worth Rs.212-Cr
New Delhi-based travel portal Easemytrip’s co-founder and chairman Nishant Pitti has pledged 34.51 Cr shares of the firm to Motilal Oswal Financial Services. The transaction, valued at about INR 212-Cr, was undertaken reportedly for personal use.The pledged shares represent 8.66% of the company’s total share capital and account for 76.1% of Pitti’s individual 45.37 Cr share holding. Following this transaction, Pitti’s total encumbered holding stands at 44.87 Cr shares, which constitutes 11.26% of the company's total share capital and 25.83% of the combined promoter group's holdings. Pitti currently retains 50 lakh unencumbered shares.The company reported a consolidated net loss of INR 11.7 Cr in Q1 FY27, compared to a net profit of INR 44 Lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
