Equinix invests $9-M in 5.5 acre Chennai land parcel for data centre
Digital infrastructure company Equinix has invested over USD 9 million to acquire a land parcel in Chennai on a long-term lease basis to set up a new data centre facility. The company has contracted with the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) to acquire a space of over 5.5 acres in the SIPCOT IT Park in Siruseri. Equinix will build the new data centre in the next few quarters.
