Sale of Lutyens bungalow under Delhi HC lens
The Delhi High Court has issued a notice on the sale of a 3,731 square-yard bungalow at Lutyens Delhi's PrithviRaj Road after the managing director of property developer Vipul Ltd challenged the sale claiming that he had already made advance payment for the property. Bhai Manjit Singh and his son, Vikramjit Singh, sold the bungalow for INR 250 crore in December 2021. Punit Beriwala, the Vipul MD, moved the high court after Bhai Manjit Singh's lawyer issued a public notice of sale, claiming that property cannot be sold to anyone else since he had made an advance payment.
