US-based Applied Materials' India arm buys office space, land in Bengaluru for Rs.338-Cr

California-based semiconductor display equipment manufacturer Applied Materials has acquired a 10-acre land parcel and built-up office space spread over 2.6 lakh sq ft in Bangalore's Whitefield Industrial Area for INR 338 crore. The company's India subsidiary has acquired the built-up space across five office blocks in Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) phase II. The company supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products.
