Budget airline Akasa raises Rs.740-Cr loan from IndusInd Bank
Mumbai-based Akasa Air has secured an INR 740 crore working capital loan from IndusInd Bank under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.Founded in 2020 by Vinay Dube, Akasa Air currently operates 40 Boeing aircraft across 36 destinations.The company plans to use the newly raised funds to support business operations.
Feb 2025, Akasa Air had attracted about USD 125 M from 360 ONE, Claypond Capital, Dovetail Global Fund, PremjiInvest, Rare Enterprises, Volrado Ventures and others.For FY25, Akasa Air had reported about INR 4,583 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1,983 Cr in Net Loss.
