Mumbai- and Iselin, NJ (USA)-based identity verification and authentication startup 1Kosmos has raised USD 57 million in Series B funding, which includes a USD 10 million line of credit from Bridge Bank. The round was led by Forgepoint Capital and Origami’s Oquirrh Ventures, with participation from Craig Abod, NextEra Energy Ventures, Gula Tech Adventures, and the 1Kosmos management team.The company plans to use the funds for product development, to expand global footprint, and to strengthen integrations with identity and access management platforms.1Kosmos intends to open new offices in Saudi Arabia and the Philippines while increasing its go-to-market efforts in India and North America. The company currently derives approximately 35–40% of its revenue from the Asia-Pacific region.
In Feb 2021, 1Kosmos had attracted about USD 15 M from Forgepoint Capital.
