Dialysis chain Apex Kidney Care raises $10-M from Tata Capital
Tata Capital Healthcare Fund (via TCHF II) has invested USD 10 million in Mumbai-based dialysis chain Apex Kidney Care (AKC). About 90% of the funding will be for growth and 10% will provide exit to certain angel investors. AKC with over 180 dialysis centres, plans to use the fresh capital to expand its dialysis network to 300 centres pan-India in next 18-24 months, of which about 50-60 dialysis centres will be standalone centres. Founded by nephrologists Jatin Kothari and Viswanath Billa, AKC had raised funds from founders and angel investors.
