Agri-bio co BioPrime Agrisolutions raises Rs.9-Cr from Inflexor Ventures, Omnivore
Pune-based BioPrime Agrisolutions has raised INR 9 crore in a pre-Series A round of funding led by Inflexor Ventures. Existing investor Omnivore Partners also participated in the round. BioPrime, founded by Dr Renuka Karandikar, develops affordable agribiologicals that improve crop resistance to pests, enable crops manage abiotic stress such as high temperature, excessive water, drought, etc. These products are not chemical-based, are residue-free, organic, and are claimed to be less expensive compared to chemical-based fertilisers and pesticides. The funds will be used for advancing its discovery platform, building a strong IP portfolio, increasing production capabilities, and for expansion.
