Agritech co BharatAgri raises Rs.14-Cr led by Capria Ventures

Pune-headquartered agritech startup BharatAgri has raised INR 14 crore (USD 1.7 million) in its extended Series A round led by Capria Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from Omnivore, India Quotient, 021 Capital, Ratnagiri Impex, and Sanjiv Rangrass, former CEO of ITC's agribusiness. BharatAgri plans to use the proceeds to scale its advisory-driven e-commerce offerings. Founded in 2017 by IIT Madras alumni Siddharth Dialani and Sai Gole, BharatAgri claims to offer AI-based agronomy services to farmers to help increase their incomes through implementation of scientific farming techniques. The startup also operates e-commerce platform Krushidukan which offers fertilisers, seeds, pesticides, insecticides and farming equipment to farmers.
