Agritech startup EekiFoods raises $2-M from Avaana Capital, others
Kota, Rajasthan-based agritech startup EekiFoods has raised USD 2 million (about INR 15 crore) from Avaana Capital and others, to expand its business and upgrade technology. Better Capital and Icebreaker VC participated in the round. Other investors include Kunal Shah, founder CRED; Ramakant Sharma, founder Livspace; Abhishek Kejriwal, founder Kutumb; and, Harsh Shah, founder, Fynd and O2 Angels Network. EekiFoods grows high-quality, residue-free Indian staple vegetables through its patent-pending plant growth system. The company was founded in December 2018 by IIT-Bombay alumni Abhay Singh and Amit Kumar.
