Agritech startup Veg Route raises $1.1 M frm Vgrow Ventures, others
Chennai-based agritech startup Veg Route has raised USD 1.1 million in its seed round led by Vgrow Venturesalong with Ravi Shankar Kathirvelu. Mohan K and Jai Kumar, Hari TN and Abhishek Raj Pandey with other angel investors from India, UAE and US have also participated in the funding round. The proceeds will be used to enhance tech and data-driven solutions for strengthening the fresh produce supply chain which connects farmers and consumers. Founded in Nov 2020, Veg Route offers freshly hand-picked produce directly from farms in 5 cities across tier-2 and tier-3 towns of South India. Veg Route had earlier raised USD 180,000 in its pre-Seed round in January this year.
