Agritech startup WayCool raises $25-M from 57 Stars, others
Chennai-based agritech startup Waycool has raised USD 25 million led by 57 Stars LLC, a Singapore-based global alternative investment firm. This investment is part of a USD 40 million round WayCool is raising from 57 Stars, along with participation from its existing investors. The remaining capital will be raised as debt. WayCool seeks to deliver fresh produce, staples, and dairy to consumers, while making a positive impact on agri/food value chain players. This investment marks 57 Stars' Direct Impact Fund's first transaction and 57 Stars Global Innovation Fund 2's (GIF 2) second transaction.
