Agritech startup Waycool raises $11.5 M from LightRock, Lightbox
Chennai-based agritech startup Waycool has raised INR 85.3 crore (USD 11.5 million) in a fresh tranche from LightRock and Lightbox. It has allotted 23,612 Series D preference shares, with LightRock and Lightbox investing INR 65.6 crore and INR 19.7 crore, respectively. With this, the company has raised USD 24.5 million in the ongoing Series D financing round. Post deal, the promoters' stake has diluted to 16.12%. Waycool's post money valuation stands at USD 375.3 million, against USD 335 million during the last tranche, in October. The six-year-old startup, founded by Karthik Jayaraman and Sanjay Dasari, aims to connect farmers and food producers with restaurants and hotels.
