Agrochem co Crystal Crop Protection raises Rs.300-Cr from IFC
Delhi-headquartered agrochemical firm Crystal Crop Protection Ltd has raised INR 300 crore (about USD 37 million) from International Finance Corporation (IFC) to fund its expansion and growth plans. The investment, which came from IFC's Emerging Asia Fund (EAF), will help Crystal Crop to boost farm productivity, reduce supply chain disruptions, and set up infrastructure for sustainable production of crop protection products. The company recently launched a new business in agrochemical retail, Saffire Crop Science, which will leverage technology to promote crops solutions and services. Crystal Crop Protection Ltd has seven manufacturing plants. Crystal Crop has made nine acquisitions to date, with six in the last five years.
