AI apps building platform Portkey raises $3-M led by Lightspeed

Bangalore- and San Francisco, CA (USA)-based artificial intelligence apps building platform Portkey.ai has raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by Lightspeed Ventures with participation from angel investors from AWS, OpenAI, cloudflare, Postman, and Asana. The Lightspeed investment was led by Dev Khare (Partner) and Manjot Pahwa (Vice President). The angel investors included investment syndicate peercheque, Adit Parekh, Sanjeev Sisodiya, Ankit Gupta, Shyamal Hitesh Anadkat, Manish Jindal, Jake Seid, Oliver Jay, Aakrit Vaish, Pranay Gupta, Sandeep Krishnamurthy and Gaurav Mandlecha. The fresh capital will be used to scale the business, hire talent, build new product capabilities, for research and development. Co-founded in January 2023 by Rohit Agarwal and Ayush Garg, Portkey.ai has built tools that allow businesses to monitor their language models (LLMs), experiment, improve and manage prompts. It also offers deep integrations with players such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Langchain, LlamaIndex and more.
