Akshayakalpa Organic raises $20-M from BII, others
Tiptur, Karnataka-based Akshayakalpa Farms and Foods Private Limited (Akshayakalpa Organic), has raised $20 milion led by British International Investment (BII, formerly CDC Group) and Rainmatter Foundation, with participation from existing investors Lok Capital, Venture Dairy and others. Veda Corporate Advisors was the exclusive financial advisor to the company and its promoters. Akshayakalpa offers organic milk and milk products which are free from antibiotics, synthetic additives, hormones, and chemical pesticide residue. Akshayakalpa reaches 60,000+ consumers daily in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai and has grown at a CAGR of 60%+ in the last 5 years. The brand is available on its own direct delivery platform, 2,000+ retail outlets and e-commerce platforms. The new funds would be used for penetrating deeper into existing geographies, expanding presence into new geographies, and launching new products.
