Alternative digital university AltUni raises $500-K from IAN, other angels
Mumbai-headquartered AltUni, an alternative digital university, has raised USD 500,000 from members of the Indian Angel Network and other angel investors including Vishesh C Chandiok ( CEO of Grant Thornton Bharat), Ganesh Balakrishnan, Harsh Parikh, Narayan Babu, Supreet Singh, Ashvin George, Prashant Mohanraj, Shreyans Mehta, Amit Monteiro, Raghav Joshi, Mainak Shome, Bhoopesh Jain, and Sandeep Bhadresa. Including the angel investment eight months ago, the startup has now raised USD 1 million. The new capital will be deployed for further developing the firm's online platforms (Insideiim, Insidekampus and AltUni) and for strengthening community engagement aimed at making youth industry-ready. AltUni claims to have over 4000 alumni in 36 months who have gained the skills needed to excel in a digital business.
