Amicus Capital hits first close of second fund at $146-M

Growth Capital firm Amicus Capital has made the first close of its second fund at USD 146 million (INR 1,215 crore). The new fund plans to invest USD 10-30 million each in 10-12 middle market companies across five key sectors - financial services, consumer, healthcare, technology & business services, and specialty manufacturing.European Investment Bank, US International Development Finance Corporation, Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund, HDFC Fund of Funds, large domestic insurance companies & financial institutions, family offices and HNIs (high networth individuals) invested in the second fund.Amicus Capital has a portfolio of 12 companies including RenewBuy.com, Wonderchef, Altum Credo Home Finance, Capital SFB, and mCaffeine.
