Ankur Capital to launch $150-M third fund
Ankur Capital is preparing to launch its third fund with a size in the range of USD 125-150 million. Its earlier two funds were USD 8 million and USD 52 million in size, respectively. The first close of the third fund is expected by early next year at about USD 60 million. Ankur Capital's existing investors CDC Group, Dutch Good Growth Fund, BIRAC, MacArthur Foundation, and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), as well as new entities will invest in the latest fund. The third fund will invest USD 8-10 million each in around 20-25 startups. Ankur Capital has so far invested in about 24 startups from Fund I and II in the range of USD 500,000 to USD 5 million in each company.
