Apax Partners exits Zensar Tech by selling shares worth Rs.1,163-Cr, registers 2.24x return

Private Equity firm Apax Partners has sold its remaining 25,756,470 equity shares (11.4% stake) at INR 451.72 per share of publicly listed IT services firm Zensar Technologies Ltd on Nov 18, 2021 through a bulk deal on the BSE. The sale aggregates to INR 1,163.47 crore.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Oct 2015, Apax invested INR 859 crore for a 23.20% stake in Zensar Technologies Ltd by buying out existing investor Electra Partners. It made a part-exit on June 14, 2021 by selling half of its shares at INR 295.16 apiece.
