Apax Partners sells Shriram Finance shares worth Rs.1,451-Cr

Apax Partners has sold shares of publicly-listed Shriram Finance Ltd worth INR 1,450.55 crore. Post the latest sale, the investor has made a complete exit from the NBFC firm with an estimated 1.08x return on its investment.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In May 2015, Apax Partners had invested INR 2,456.21 crore for 20.37% stake in Shriram City Union Finance by acquiring shares from TPG Capital. Subsequently it invested more. On Dec 12, 2022, Shriram City Union Finance merged with Shriram Transport Finance Company through a share swap deal.
