Aquaconnect raises $4-M more led by S2G Ventures
Chennai-based aquaculture startup Aquaconnect has raised USD 4 million (INR 33 crore) as part of a pre-Series B funding round led by US-based S2G Ventures. The startup will use the fresh funds to ramp up operations and expand its footprint across India. The funding will also be deployed to shore up its tech stack, diversify product portfolio, venture into new segments and double its network of partners in the next six months.Aquaconnect claims to be present in six states and have more than 500+ on-ground partners. It uses AI and satellite remote sensing to bring transparency and efficiency into the aquaculture value chain, to predict the demand for farm inputs and the supply of harvest produce, scaling from the individual pond level to the village, and to the national level.
Between 2019 and 2022, Aquaconnect had raised USD 24 M from Lok Capital, Omnivore Partners, Rebright Partners, Trifecta Capital, Flourish Ventures, 6G Capital, AgFunder, Suneight Investment, Trifecta Capital, Others.
