Aquaponics player Krishak Farms raises Rs.30-L from Nabard fund, Bihar govt
Agritech startup Krishak Farms has been given a subsidy of INR 20 lakh by the Bihar government while Nabard provided INR 10 lakh from the Farm Sector Promotion Fund. The startup has been incubated at IIT-Kanpur. Krishak Farms aims to be the enabler of a cooperative or farmers produce organisation-based aquaponics ecosystem in the region. Founded by father-son duo Dharmdeo Singh and Nikhil Singh, the company grows exotic vegetables which are in demand at upscale hotels, fine dining and quick-service restaurants.
