B2B cloud manufacturing startup Frigate raises $1.5 M from Arali Ventures, others

Frigate, a Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu-based B2B (business-to-business) cloud manufacturing startup, has raised USD 1.5 million in a seed funding round led by Arali Ventures with participation from Capital-A, Java Capital, and angel investors.The firm would use the funds to expand its digital manufacturing ecosystem to cater to global customers. Founded in 2021 by Tamizhinian Vasanthan, Karthikeyan Prakash, Chandrasekar C, and Iniyavan Vasanthan, Frigate offers a suite of manufacturing services to medium- and large-scale companies globally. Its specialisation includes heavy and light engineering fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, forgings, injection moulding for robotics, consumer electronics, electric vehicles, and defence & aerospace industries.

From the Venture Intelligence Angel Investments Database: In April 2022, Frigate had raised USD 175,000 from Vel Kanniappan, Srinath Ramakkrushnan (Founder of Zetwerk); Abhishek Raj Pandey of Mamaearth; Vijay Pravin Maharajan of Bitscrunch and other investors from the US, Japan, Germany and Singapore.
