Bain Capital sells Axis Bank shares for Rs.3,737-Cr

Private Equity firm Bain Capital sold shares worth INR 3,737 crore in publicly listed Axis Bank. Three affiliate units of Bain Capital - BC Asia Investments VII, BC Asia Investments III and Integral Investments South Asia IV - sold a total of 33.38 million shares (1.08 per cent stake) at INR 1,119.7 apiece. Bain had bought a stake worth INR 6,854 crore in Axis Bank in November 2017. In June, the PE firm sold 0.73 per cent stake for INR 2,178 crore at INR 968 per share.
