Blue-collar staffing co Smartstaff raises $6-M from Nexus, Arkam, Blume and Alteria
Smartstaff, a Bengaluru-headquartered blue-collar staffing platform, has raised USD 6.2 million from Nexus Venture Partners, Arkam Ventures, Blume Ventures, and Alteria Capital. The funding included USD 5,00,000 of debt funding from Alteria Capital, the only new investor in the funding round. The company, which previously raised USD 4.3 million in October 2021, offers solutions for recruitment, workforce management, and retention for mid-sized and large manufacturing enterprises. Since its inception in 2021, Smartstaff claims to have recruited, trained, and employed 11,000 workers across 50 manufacturers, helping workers collectively earn over INR 100 crore in wages.
