Chiratae Ventures makes first close at Rs.759-Cr for Growth Fund

Bangalore-headquartered Chiratae Ventures has made a first close of the Chiratae Ventures Growth Fund - I (CGF - I) at INR 759 crore. The new fund will invest in the growth capital rounds of 15-20 technology startups from the firm's portfolio and outside. It would mainly focus on startups raising Series C stage funding round in the range of $5-20 million. The fund counts domestic institutional investors such as Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan's Family Office, Choksi Family Office (promoters of Asian Paints), SBI and IIFL Wealth and other Family Offices, as well as global investors among its key LPs.
