Cloud manufacturing startup Frigate raises $175-K

Chennai-based cloud manufacturing startup Frigate has raised USD 175,000 from Vel Kanniappan, Srinath Ramakkrushnan (founder of Zetwerk); Abhishek Raj Pandey, Mamaearth; Vijay Pravin Maharajan of Bitscrunch and others from US, Japan, Germany and Singapore. The funds will be used to strengthen Frigate's technology stack and to expand the headcount to over 100 within the next fiscal. Founded in 2021, Frigate provides fabrication, 3D printing, and CNC machining services for OEMs, SMEs, and startups. The firm claims to have onboarded 150 SMEs on its platform for making their metal and plastic parts from Tier II and Tier III cities.
