Co-living operator Isthara Parks raises addl funds from JM Financial PE, others
Isthara Parks Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad-headquartered co-living operator, has raised fresh capital from existing investor JM Financial Private Equity, Dubai-based Eagle Proprietary Investments Ltd and a few family offices. The company has raised USD 11 million of external capital so far. The company claims to have increased its bed count from 5,700 at the end of March 2020 to 17,000 currently, across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, NCR and Chennai. Isthara also added a new business segment - smart food courts - under which it is the vendor aggregator helping large educational institutes to digitize their cafeterias. The company has signed up 50 food courts across Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
