Construction tech startup Project Hero raises $3.2-M from Ankur Capital, Omidyar, others

Bengaluru-based construction tech startup Project Hero has raised USD 3.2 million in a seed round of funding led by Ankur Capital and Omidyar Network India. The round also saw participation from existing investors including Titan Capital. Led by Satya Vyas, Project Hero enables contractors to hire and manage construction workers across bar bending, carpentry, shuttering, masons, general helpers and painting. Currently, Project Hero claims to have 400,000 workers on the platform. The fresh funds will be used to strengthen its technology infrastructure, hire more talent and expand its supply side as well as expansion.

From the Venture Intelligence Angel Investments Database: In Aug 21, Project Hero raised INR 3.45 crore from Kunal Bahl, Rohit Kumar Bansal, Haresh Chawla, Anupam Mittal, Ajay Prabhu, acting as a Trustee of Amgele Family Private Trust, Bipin Kumar Shah, Varun Alagh, UTPL Corporate Trustees Pvt Ltd (Trustees of Grand Anicut Angel Fund), Anish Kumar and Himani Chopra.
