D2C educational toy maker Skillmatic raises Rs.121-Cr led by Sofina Ventures

Mumbai-based direct-to-consumer (D2C) educational product brand Skillmatics has raised a Series B round led by Sofina Ventures. Existing investors Sequoia Capital India and Smiti Holdings also participated in the funding round. Sofina put in INR 96.1 crore while Sequoia and Smiti have invested INR 18.92 crore and INR 6.05 crore respectively. Skillmatics develops educational products and games for children aged under 10, across science, technology, engineering and maths streams.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Apr-19 and Jun-21, Skillmatics had raised over USD 7.5 M from Sequoia Capital India, Smiti Holdings (Jalan Dani’s family office), Patni Wealth Advisors and Saanush Holdings Ltd and angel investors Sohel Shikari and Ravi Nigam.
